LEADERSHIP
NONI E MACDONALD MD MSC FRCP FCAHS
Dr. MacDonald is a Professor of Paediatrics and Infectious Diseases at Dalhousie University and the IWK health Centre and former Dean of Medicine at Dalhousie University. She has long been interested in community capacity building not only in developing countries but also in Canada. She is a consultant to the World Health Organization in immunization. She was Editor in Chief of Paediatrics & Child Health for 20 years and also the former Editor-in-Chief of CMAJ. She is an elected fellow of Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and serves on many national and international advisory committees. Dr. MacDonald has long been recognized in Canada and internationally, as an advocate for children and youth health and as a leader in paediatric infectious disease and global health.
ROBERT BORTOLUSSI MD FRCPC
PROFESSOR EMERITUS PEDIATRICS
Dr. Bortolussi is a former Vice President of Research of the IWK Health Centre and is Professor Emeritus of Paediatrics at Dalhousie University. He edited “The Handbook for Clinician Scientists” which is used in many Universities in Canada and as part of the MicroResearch Curriculum. He is a fellow of Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and President of the Global Health Section of the Canadian Paediatric Society. He is presently the editor of Clinical and Investigative Medicine (CIM).
